Citizens wishing to address the board on an unlisted agenda item must notify the board secretary no later than four calendar days prior to the
board meeting. The person making the request must state the person’s name, address, and purpose of the presentation; action desired by the
board and give any other pertinent background information. The Board President may not choose to recognize a person to speak who is not a
resident of the Columbus Community School District. Citizens wishing to present oral or written petitions to the board may do so at the time they
are given to speak. However, the board will only receive the petitions and/or listen to the citizens. The board will take no action directly
following the presentation, but rather listen with a concerned attitude. The Board President has the discretion to limit the amount of time set
aside for public participation. If the pressures of business or other circumstances dictate, the Board President may decide to set aside this
practice until another meeting. (Board Policy 213)

Just a reminder that tickets for tonight's regional girls' basketball at Columbus must be purchased online at the Bound website. Support the Wildcats as they host the Danville Bears in tournament play.

Columbus CSD will be opening 2 hours late on Tuesday, February 18 due to wind chill temperatures. No AM breakfast.

ColumbusCSD will be closed on Wednesday, February 12 due to forecasted winter storm conditions.

A community Team Store has been created to recognize our Girls' Basketball team being Crowned SEISC North Champions!


We are excited for our students to perform in the State Jazz Choir Festival tonight. Columbus opens the North Scott contest at 6 PM. Tickets at the door are $12 for adults, $7 for Seniors, and $5 for K-12 students.


Conference Basketball Shootouts this Weekend!
2/7 Friday night: 6 PM Game is New London versus Wapello. 7:30 PM Game is Van Buren County versus Columbus. Both games are at Columbus Community.
2/8 Saturday Afternoon: Columbus Girls Basketball will play Mediapolis in the Conference Shootout Championship at Southeastern Community College at 3:30 PM.
Both events only accept Conference Passes.


For the first time since 2010, Columbus Community will send a Vocal Ensemble to State Contests. Bella Voce Vocal Ensemble will display its talents at North Scott High School on Monday, February 10th. Go Wildcats!


Columbus CSD will have a 2 hour delay on Thursday, February 6.

For the first time in Wildcat Program History, the girls have captured the SEISC Conference Championship. On Friday, February 7th, the team will cut down the nets and celebrate this achievement. This event is open to the Wildcat community. Join us at 5:15 pm in the second gym and help us recognize the Columbus Queens of the Court.


ColumbusCSD will release students at 1 PM today February 5th. This is a safety related dismissal. Weather forecasts indicate icy roads and dangerous travel conditions this afternoon. All school activities for this afternoon and evening have been cancelled.

Senior Night! Join us at Columbus Community High School. After the girls' varsity game, we will recognize the Seniors in our basketball programs.
Also, Community Bank will provide a free bag of popcorn for the first 150 fans.
