The FY27 school calendar was officially approved by the board at the most recent meeting and is now available.
We are making a change to our early dismissal schedule for the week of April 15th due to secondary ISASP testing.
➡️ No early out on Wednesday, April 15th
➡️ Early dismissal will take place on Friday, April 17th instead

Attendance Matters! 📚
Regular school attendance plays a big role in helping students feel confident, stay connected, and succeed in school. Even missing just a couple days each month can make it harder for students to keep up with learning.
Families make a huge difference! Simple routines like getting enough sleep, preparing for school the night before, and keeping communication open with teachers all help students stay on track.
If challenges come up, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our staff is here to support your child and work together with families to ensure every student feels connected, supported, and ready to learn.

La asistencia regular a la escuela ayuda a los estudiantes a sentirse seguros, mantenerse conectados y tener éxito en su aprendizaje. Incluso faltar solo un par de días cada mes puede hacer que sea más difícil mantenerse al día con lo que se enseña en clase.
¡Las familias hacen una gran diferencia! Rutinas sencillas como dormir lo suficiente, preparar la ropa y la mochila la noche anterior y mantener una buena comunicación con los maestros ayudan a que los estudiantes se mantengan encaminados.

Last night, our Wildcat bus drivers participated in additional training focused on student safety. We welcomed Trooper Marlow of the Iowa State Patrol for School Transportation Active Threat Training, which reviewed awareness and response considerations specific to school transportation. 🛡️
The Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (MBAEA) also provided the Annual Bus Driver Training from the Iowa Department of Education. Topics included intervention strategies, passenger van safety, emergency procedures, and bus lot safety. 📘🚨
Ongoing training helps ensure our drivers are prepared, consistent, and focused on providing a safe transportation experience for students and peace of mind for families.
