Middle School

Columbus Middle School has an enrollment of approximately 250 students in 6th-8th grades. The middle school provides four sections for each grade level and exposes students to numerous educational and extra-curricular activities beyond the basic course requirements of language arts, science, social studies and math. The Principal is Mr. Matt Kingsbury and the Assistant Principal is Mr. Chris Hoover. Our Middle School Counselor, Mr. Edwin Colón provides services to our students.

Sixth grade students take additional classes in music, health, literature, art, and keyboarding. Optional classes and activities are available in band and talented and gifted.

Seventh and eighth grade students take additional classes in keyboarding, art, health, family consumer science, agriculture, and problem solving. Optional classes and activities include band, chorus and talented and gifted.

Seventh and eighth grade extra-curricular activities are available to all of our students. We offer volleyball, basketball, track, softball, football, basketball, and baseball. There is also a middle school student council as well as school sponsored dances for students.

There are no school sponsored extra-curricular activities for sixth grade students. However, numerous community-sponsored activities are available.
